== WHY CANT I PLAY MY CARD ?? ==
- do you have enough money ? Do you know about the folder cost when playing a card from the display directly ?
- do you have the CORRECT partner zoo ? Animals with a partner-zoo prerequisite require you to have the same zoo as their continent
- have you played Special Waza Program ? It forbids you to play some animals.
- do your special enclosure fulfills the WATER and ROCK CONSTRAINTS ? These constraints are for both special and regular enclosure, not just for standard enclosures only
- sponsor cards with unique buildings cannot be played if the building can't be placed. You cannot flip the building tile
== ASSOCIATION : WHY CANT I TAKE THIS ACTION ?? ==
- you cannot take the "2 reputation" bonus if you already have 9 reputation and your action card "Cards" is not upgraded
- you cannot take twice the same association action within the same action card use
- You cannot ignore rock/water requirements. See the glossary. You can only ignore conditions (red bars).
- did you check if an opponent had Quarantine Lab?
- You cannot gain more than 9 reputation unless you upgrade the Cards action.
- as mentioned above, both these enclosures still need rock/water requirements to be met!
You do not have enough money.
- You cant affect someone with less than 5 appeal
You cant target a player for max conservation if everyone has 0 conservation (cf glossary)
You can NEVER be blocked by Venom :
- use the sponsor card to get money, using x-tokens if necessary
- if sponsor card does not have enough strength and you dont have xtoken to boost it, you can simply take a xtoken from the action card with a venom token on it, this will remove the venom token
Look at the previous message, I will probably say "cannot have more than 41 conservation"
- Ark Nova has a hard cap of 41 conservation points, any gained after that are lost
- the system will grant as many as possible, which sometimes means that end game scoring cards will give you less than the value listed on the card
Don't build on top of the gate icon on your map. This will negate your map power. This is not a bug. Maps do not have memory of what's there.
Per the glossary, these cards only apply to base projects that are below the Association board at the start of the game. Also remember that, in general, you can only support a conservation project once.
If you played the Reconstruction card, that's normal. As clearly written on the tooltip explaining the card, this card prevent ALL placement bonuses, INCLUDING the H on Map 8.

I won for the first time playing a full game of Ark Nova to completion without anyone quitting or otherwise upsetting the return value of said victory. My account shows Ive won the game, but I did not receive the +5 gift points for said victory.
I also addended this same information to the relevant Bug Report Thread for the website, but as the report stems from well over 7 years origin, (in fact the 8 year anniversary of the bug thread is this coming Nov 1st), and this looks to be the first time it has been specifically reported for Ark Nova here, it seemed adequate enough to warrant an update here as well. Additional relevant references added below.
