The election of the Aztec High Priest is imminent. To prove your value and merit, in this 2 to 4 players game, you need to carve sacred Cóatl sculptures (majestic feathered serpents) to impress the Gods and become the Aztec High Priest.
You work to build the most beautiful and valuable serpents. The Cóatl are made with a head, a tail, and at least one body tiles, all colorful, and inspiring. If you manage to create patterns shown on Prophecy cards, you will score prestige points. If you fulfill one of the requirements, or more, from Temple cards, you will score prestige points.
You get it, the more prestige points you score, the more you please the Gods and the closer you are to win the game. The end of the game is triggered when one player finishes their third Cóatl. The players with the most prestige point is named the new High Priest!
Cóatl, nominated for several awards, is a beautiful and fun to fiddle with game. It is accessible with deep strategy where you will need to solve puzzles to achieve the best possible combinations to become High Priest.
