Schotten Totten is a quirky clever tug-of-war game for 2 players. Send your warriors and fight for control of the frontier that separates you from your opponent. You can put down a maximum of 3 cards in front of each stone and whoever has the highest-ranking combination of cards wins the stone.
And that is where it gets tricky. The 9 possible combinations are poker style so bluff and finesse are mandatory to deceive your opponent and manage your hand with skill.
Each round is set in the same way. Place one of your cards in front of a stone- but choose wisely as it cannot be moved afterwards. Once you are happy with where your card is, draw a new card.
When both players have placed three cards in front of the same stone, they compare the combinations formed by the cards on either side. The strongest combination wins the stone tile. The first player to control three adjacent or five scattered stones wins the game.
You want more of a challenge? Play with the “tactics” cards allowing you to perform special actions such as discarding opponent's cards or changing a card value.
