At the end of the game, it should grant:
1 shield for 3 research icons
2 shields for 4
3 shields for 5
4 shields for 6 or more

At the end of the game I had all 3 universities (3 shields) plus 4 sponsors that granted research icons:
Federal Grants (220)
Gorilla Field Research (205)
Technology Institute (209)
Migration Recording (224)

That is a total of 7 research icons, but when the end-game scoring script was displayed, it says:
"gains 2 (Research Zoo)"

I have not totaled everything by hand to see if the final score is correct and this is just a display glitch. Either way it is a bug.
