I've built a Sand Producer building which transforms one wood into two sand. At no point during the game am I able to interact with it, even though I have plenty of wood. Am I missing how production buildings are supposed to be used or is this a bug?• 你想觸發這個遊戲行動時做了什麼？

When you can activate it you will normally see a small thunderbolt icon on the tile. You should be able to activate it at any moment in your turn and you just have to click it, the bar message will change and you'll have the action available in the action pane.
I've tested it with the information of your table and it works for me. If it still doesn't work for you please provide some more information like the move you are and a description of the steps to try to reproduce your issue.

The rulebook says you can activate the Processing building at any time during the game, not just on your turn.

I have the same issue. I can't activate my processing buildings. I don't see any thunderbolt icons. o.o;

Nevermind, I understand now. Processing buildings can only be activated when you're activating a card's abilities. I guess it was easier to program that way.
