It happened again in the same game on another tile.

Investigating further I realised it is only a rendering bug: TWhen I try to rotate the tile it SHOWS the opposite orientation but everything behaves as if the tile was in the right direction and upon validation the tile shows the desired orientation. Screenshot of the second occurrence (the lower tile, when rotated with the lion on the top left corner shows the lion on the bottom right corner)

Happening in my game (#514818426) as well. The card can be rotated in every direction except for the one where the river is on the top right.

I can confirm that the game play is not affected, only the display (in fact, the image that you drag is correct!).

Furthermore, I can refute the idea that it has to do with giraffes.....

Does it happen when you try rotating from your hand or inside the grid ?
Does the arrow become bigger when you hover it with the mouse ?
Do you have any error in your console tab ? to check this, on your computer after clicking a rotate button, can you open developper tools with F12 and copy/paste everything you have in the console tab ?

I remember this now. It happened with ALL cards, whenever the desired orientation was 180 degrees away from the initial orientation.

Die Teile drehen sich nicht so, wie man es angibt. Angezeigtes Bild und tatsächliche Lage des Teils beim Drehen passen nicht zusammen.

Same is happening to me, on the table 554993655, move 22, I tried to rotate to the "last" possible rotation (270°) clockwise and it resets to the first card rotation

I was not able to rotate my tile 90° counterclockwise to place down on my board. Even when I managed to rotate it, place it down and validate it on my phone, the results were changed and the tile rotated to its default form during scoring phase. Lost out on points! Please fix this asap.

Hatte das gleiche Problem aber es scheint wirklich "nur" ein Anzeigefehler zu sein. Bestätigt man die Platzierung, erscheint die Karte so, wie man sie gedreht hat.

Had the same in game 588304987. It's actually a display bug, since after I placed the card in the "wrong" rotation, it was displayed again properly. So the game interprets it correctly, but does not show it properly.
On Firefox 132.0.1

I just tried the tutorial on macOS in Brave (chromium, up to date), and iOS 17.6.1 in Safari and neither show the rotation arrows on the tile that I see in screenshots, so for now the game is unusable for me.

Played a few games. Many times it was the best possible rotation choice the game wouldn't let me choose. Such a weird bug. When I rotate clockwise, then try to rotate clockwise again, the game instead turns it counter-clockwise. Then it resets after four turns.

Ignore my Nov 18th comments - I can see and use the rotation arrows and board panning arrows in a real game. Only Brave/chromium on macOS retested as yet, but I expect the phone is probably fine too. It was only the tutorial version of the game that was missing them.

I can confirm this:

Firefox: positive
only a display issue: positive

So the best workaround seems to be this: After selecting the tile you want to place, rotate it slowly - step by step - and IF it happens to skip the position you want (rotating once to often), ignore the display and place the tile this way.

I have it always with every single tile. Firefox on Windows.

When placing the tile and validating the move, then the tile suddenly gets the orientation it should have had.

Strange that the game came out of beta with such a big bug that has existed for half a year.

The tile in my current game will not allow the penguin in the upper left and crocodile in the upper right.

Happened to me as well and I too use Firefox.

In round 3 I was not able to turn my final card with the river to the top right.

Whenever I try, the moment it locks into the desired position it instantly flips 180°. On the next turn, it jarringly ends up in the position expected after the one with the river top right.

Worked on mobile (dedicated, apparently chrome based BGA app).

The bug seems to be fixed. I can fully rotate all three cards in my hand to show all orientations as usable. Also works while placed on the table.
