Also happened to me on table 532460221 move 440: I got a Defender of Catan card which took me to 13 VP, but then my opponent was allowed to have their go and also reached 13 VP. Final score was me on 12 and them on 13, and they were credited with the victory.

I got 13th point on game 534928642 during other player's move, the game continued and finished when other player also got 13th point. My point counter incorrectly decreased to 12 points.

Similar incident: game 563775371 from move 466 boardgamearena.com/4/catan?table=563775371&replayFrom=466 I earned a Defender of Catan card taking me to 13 points. The other two players each took a turn (one of them building a metropolis), I wasn't given the win until my turn started. The other player being able to build a metropolis put them in outright second rather than tied for second.

OK, the C&K rules state on page 12 "The first player to accumulate 13 or more victory points during his turn immediately wins the game."

So if you get to 13 points on another player's turn, you haven't won yet -- things could change before your turn. On the other hand, if it's your turn and something happens to get you to 13 points, then you win immediately.

I confirm this bug, I got defender of Catan, giving me 13, and was not awarded the win. My closest challenger chose to expel the third player to deny me the win.

another one here - pirates attack, I got defender of catan that put me into 13, I think I saw the note that I won, other players congrated, pirates go back, game continues for three more turns, until another player removes one my road with diplomat, passes and then game automagically calculates my 13 when it was my turn

so it looks like it's the same as original report, just with different card

Can also confirm this exact scenario: had 12 points, it was my turn so I rolled, Barbarians attacked, had to select a development card, card turned out to be a VP, making me have 13 points. Game did not end.

Thankfully, this time I had enough resources to go to 14 points (which ended the game), but it should have ended at 13.

Improvement to 5th Level not taking Metropolis: I Completed Cities and Knights variant of Catan game 622953719 yesterday. I was on 11 points with lots of resource cards and another player was on 12 points about to win next turn. A couple of players were on Politics Level 4 - in a genius last ditch play I traded all my resources for 5 paper and was the first to upgrade to level 5. I upgraded the City and waited for the game to show that I had won buut my points didnt change.

The rules state "You may take another player’s metropolis if you are able to acquire the fifth level of improvement in the matching color before he does. If another player reaches the fifth level of improvement before the metropolis owner does, he may take both the metropolis piece and the colored metropolis token. If you have reached the fifth level of improvement in any area, no player may take your metropolis away."

It seems the online version of the game does not enact this rule.

Got 13 points with final defender of catan vp. It did not immediately award me the winner. The next two players went and the 2nd one after me, claimed the win. I came in 2nd place because of the bug.

Got 13 points thanks to a card, but the current player was able to continue. He won by playing the merchant which was one of my 13 points. This is visible in the very last turns.

It seems it only happens when a merchant point is being used to win the game. it allows everyone to take an additional turn and once it is your turn again. then you win

Ich habe eben den 13 Siegpunkt durch die Verteidigung von Catan erhalten war aber nicht an der Reihe. Meine beiden Mitspieler konnten ihren Zug noch zu Ende bringen der letzte hat Dann auch 13 Siegpunkte gemacht und am Ende hat er gewonnen und bei mir standen nur noch 12 Siegpunkte da.

Sorry, it's me again...
I told you, I had 13 points. The game goes on. Now ghostrider007 got his 13th point and was the winner. My points decreased vom 13 to 12, that is not okay!

all together 13 not 12 points!!!
Why and why and why? Or do I count wrong?

Just happened to me on game #745444770
I reached 13 points by defending catan but game kept playing. In the next move another player then built a road that they made the longest road so then reduced me to 11 points.
Fix the bug and I'd like the ELO awarded to me.
