Also, the goal is NOT to make a video game adaptation so we tried to have more of "board game feeling" than the DE, which implies displaying the player mat asset for instance.

The actions might benefit from being labeled. A friend I'm playing with said, "And since there are no words on the actions it is hard for me to equate the actions to the slots"

For me the produce action confused me initially since it looks different than the actual board. I see where you're going with it but it wasn't obvious and I thought I was going crazy looking fort he produce action. 6 slots for the workers on the physical board vs the 3 buttons with little dots on them representing the workers.

Also, it's really hard to process your contradictory feedbacks : @CarnageLP is saying to take more from DE but @sacredobelisk is saying the produce thing is not natural, but this is exactly how the Steam app is also displaying it !

Please read previous answers : just saying "this needs improvement" without giving any additional input is not really useful to built upon. What part of the interface are you talking about ? What kind of improvements ?

The action banner is covering the top part of the map which shows star placement. The only way on my laptop to see the stars is to zoom in and then out in order to even move the map. This is difficult to do with the laptop touchpad. I agree that manual map move controls like Catan has will help.

Thanks for the details. The fact that the board is hidden by default is a feature. You dont need to look at the stars all the time, really. It should be easily accessible, but shouldnt take valuable height which is clearly critical on the UI.
I dont understand why you dont just pan the map if you want to look them though ? Are you saying the panning is not working when unzoomed ? That would be a bug then, not some improvement suggestion.
I am actually not a big fan of displaying that part on the board, I just did the easy way copying Steam edition, but I personally think it would be much better to just have an icon on the top right that would bring that track as an overlay. Same for popularity. Just leave the board being the board and nothing else.

Any other specific part of the interface that needs improvement ?

Colors need improvement. The same, or near enough, the same color is used for three different purposes: player color, background artwork color, and resource markers. This makes the board unusable to all but the most experienced players. Novice players will find the current color/visual situation extremely difficult to process.

Negative space on the right-hand side of the board can be removed. about 30% of the horizontal board is wasted on the right edge..

The score tracker on the left could be a pop out or toggle or placed below the board so that the actual game board could be expanded.

the board itself is very challenging to process. A sophisticated 3D gave board pushed into 2D just doesn't seem to be working.

Something significant either needs to be removed or added....

Tilt the board and creat 3D elements such as player pieces and/or resources, etc.

Create many board filters so that information can be removed or highlighted.

To be blunt, the current visualization of the game board is almost unusable to all who do not have extensive local knowledge of the game. There needs to be an easy way for new players to gather visual information and to group items, players, resources, etc. together

Why are you saying it's a wasted Space ? It's clearly not whenever you zoom on the board. And what would you use that space for anyway ? The critical factor on desktop is height, not width.
Also, please create multiple suggestions, it makes it impossible to answer/comment/upvote individual suggestion. For instance pop out score tracker is clearly an isolated suggestion.
Also i am not sure about your last item, you can already expand player boards by clicking on them

Also not sure to understand which color you are referring to exactly ? And have you checked the game settings yet ? Because you have already a lot of ways to customize the board

Also font is small. In combination with all the nice layout it is hard to read. Important information should be easier to digest.

I have stopped trying to play Sythe altogether on BGA. It's too hard to work out a strategy when you can't see the map without zooming in so far that you lose your sense of the map as a whole
