Hi i think facilities placements could be more intuitive if they automatically go on the board where they are supposed to be placed. at least for hotels

Thank you for bringing up this suggestion. Unfortunately, most facilities have multiple places they can go depending on whether they are Commercial (gray) or Park (green) facilities. Specifically, hotels are Commercial facilities, so they can go in any of the 7 open gray spaces on the right side of your island at the beginning of the game. So there isn't an automatic place to put them on the player board, at least initially. The available locations for a facility should be highlighted when you choose the facility to buy/place. Those options will narrow as you buy and place more facilities.
However, it may be interesting to automatically place a facility once there's only one place it could go on the island. That's something we may look into in future updates, although it's not planned right now.
If you're having trouble selecting a facility location when buying one, please log a bug—ideally with a screenshot at the moment the bug is occurring—and I will gladly look into it further.

The green buildings matter, but the gray building do not matter where they are placed. So you could speed things up, if the gray buildings just automatically got placed when you built them.
