This happens on my Samsung A5 2017 with the foundation.e.browser (which is a fork of chromium).
Maybe this a problem with my browser, I can't reproduce it on a desktop firefox.
- the problem can be reproduced on a desktop version of chromium : dev tools -> styles -> rendering emulations -> automatic dark mode
(a simple "prefers-color-scheme: dark" was not enough to trigger white text)
- I was able to solve the issue with a custom CSS (abusing the card-text class of Altered) which could be enforced by altered.css:

color-scheme: only light;
}
