I even tried rolling one less die in the hope that armor plating would activate taking care of one of the damage I wasn't rolling for using camouflage. But it made no difference I still received full attack damage.

Starting with move 64, each time camouflage triggered armor plating did not. The log says the attach is reduced by 1 with Armor Plating, but the actual health drops the full amount.
Solution should be that Camouflage handled first and after that Armor Plating additionaly prevents one damage.
