I second this suggestion! I'd love to see Board Game Arena on BlueSky.

In the corporate world, a lot of companies are removing website links that drive traffic to X, to avoid damaging their brand by association with X. Liberty Mutual Insurance, 3M, Southwest Airlines, CVS, US Foods, and Tractor Supply Co. are examples of companies who have ditched the twitter/X link from their websites.

I would also love to see this. I would support moving off of X, but just publishing reports to BlueSky would be a win for me, regardless of if you move off X

As a VIP member I am more than willing to drop my monitary support of BGA if they don't drop their X account soon.
Get with the times BGA and stop supporting a Nazi.

This suggestion is ridiculous.

Moving off X would greatly reduce the communication channels for the majority of users.

This is just a small minority of members who have unilaterally decided someone this disagree with is a Nazi, despite vast examples to the contrary.

The suggestions is insulting to the victims of real nazis.

X is a nazi platform. It's there for hatred. Many of us no longer use Twitter. Do better BGA!

Seriously. I have the X domain nuked, why use a highly politically charged site as your primary communication channel? Been a paying member forever, would prefer BGA use a neutral communication platform for outages.

Agreed with moving off of X. BlueSky though is currently a centrally controlled system with the same vulnerabilities that left Twitter vulnerable to turning into X. It would be future-proof to move to Mastodon instead, run your own instance, and, along the lines of indieweb.org/POSSE, syndicate those posts elsewhere.

X has changed its interface such that viewing an account no longer shows the most recent posts (at least to people who aren't logged in there). Currently the top visible post for me at twitter.com/boardgamearena is a post about Ark Nova from 2023-May-24: x.com/BoardGameArena/status/1661310666693640193 -- that's not useful if I'm looking for the most recent update from BGA on the site's status.

Board Gamers are all on Bluesky. From casual players to enthusiasts. From design greats like Lacerda & Wherle to publishing greats like AEG, Flatout, and Lookout.

Heck, even juggernauts like Op Games are on Bluesky. Where is Asmodee and BGA??
