no error but could not even click opponent because they already had a full inventory of gems.

I disagree. I do not think it is the same bug. My
Issue was that my only opponent could not be selected to give them my selected extra gems because they had a full board. Therefor the game was telling me to select an opponent to give my gems to but I did not have a legal opponent to give them to. Which in turn soft locked the game.

It was the same. Your opponent (the Rhom) didn't have a full cargo, it had a single free space. You had to transfer 1 gem to it and then discard other two. You selected all 3 gems in you had in excess, that's why you couldn't select the Rhom then.
Now, the game would instruct you to select 1 gem (instead of "up to 3") and then ask you to select other two. Much clearer.
