It showed the card I played and the space it was played to in the replay text, but did not play the card to my board. This affected the last two cards I played, effectively deleting them from the game.
I actually think it is possible that, since I was covering four spaces that had already been played to, that it somehow bugged out because of that. It subtly changed the space between the corners of the cards I tried to play on top of to the the yellow of the card I was trying to play.• 這項違反規則之處可否在遊戲重播中看到？若可以是在哪步？（重播時左上角資訊）

I was tabbed out before the bug occurred, but that was true for most of my downtime and did not affect the game prior to the last couple turns. I attempted to refresh my page but that changed nothing, and it wasn't just on my screen either.
One of the other players watched my screen the second time and confirmed it was happening, and not appearing on their screen. One of the other players was sure that they did not place a card covering four animals, the other was unsure if they did or not.
