Starting from move 1 I couldn't see the hex board, only the hex stones.
So I didnt know, where the board ends, I also didnt know which sides I had to connect.

I can see the board in the replay. Most likely this is not a Hex-specific issue: an image did not get loaded from the server. Could be due to network issues or some kind of server-side issue at BGA.
Note: To fix missing images, press Control+F5, not just F5. The key F5 reloads the page, but not the prerequisites for the page. You need Control+F5 for that.
