Sometimes in the middle of spending resources (for example if you get a lightening bolt tile that says spend 3 resources to get something), when you are selecting what resources to spend, it would be nice if a seed card was one of those options that is presented, since you can turn those in for resources.

You can only do this before or after your action, not in the middle of an action. It's possible to gain information during the action, at which point it wouldn't be allowed to convert seed cards to resources mid-action
