Unless I'm just really lucky, I've been 2nd at every table I've played. My first choice is Blue for color. Coincidence? Maybe, but very unlikely.

I can confirm that the color preference does not interfere with the first player. I don't develop something like that.
By the way I've just tested by setting my color preference to blue and I started for my first game.
