In general the BGA guidelines require games to match the physical version as much as possible. Do you have an example of a game on BGA that adds memory assistance like this?

I think hanabi, puerto rico (money),I think secret moon but not sure, dragon heart (don´t remember if it is this version or the yucata version) but are probably more with some memory assistance. For asynchronous play it is almost always better to show all hidden trackable information in my opinion.

The thing is all players that have an interest in winning will use notes or scrool back through the game log, This change will just make it a bit easier for everyone.
