The only thing that makes this tricky is that the game can also end if both players use their 5 scoring cubes. So maybe something like "Maximum remaining turns 5/15" could work, along with a tooltip explaining that the game could end early based on scoring cubes.

Added a turn counter above the board. For the standard game I note that the game could end earlier if all the cubes are used. For the end game scoring variant the turns are more definitive since play continues until all of the hikers are placed regardless of scoring cube count (that logic change was also implemented). Text turns red with 2 turns remaining and changes to explicitly alert the player on their last turn. There is also a new confirmation when choosing to pass could cause you to waste a scoring cube.
