I got my first actual win of 7 wonders in table 61273919 but I didn't receive the 5 gift points. My previous "wins" in this game are all due to someone else quitting and I didn't receive the 5 points either.

To sum up if your 1st win comes up as a result of a player quitting/running out of time you do not receive +5 gift points. Guessing this system is in place to prevent people abusing it to rattle up easy gift points. However once this happens you will never receive +5 gift points when you win a game later when a player does not quit/run out of time as the gifting system thinks you've already won your 1st game. Has happened to me on Through The Ages:A New Story and Yahtzee.

I dindn't receive my 5 gifts for two games (Saboteur and incan gold)
I finished first several times on these two games without receiving the points and I finished first on other games in the meantime and I received the respective points for the other games

All games completed normally with all participants.

Some can explain what happened? I noticed that in the first match of Can't Stop, played at 12:30, my oppenent
quitted before end. The other games wre played later the same day. Maybe is this the problem?

And for Gomoku I realised now happened the same thing. Apparently from 12th April on I Haven't been getting any gift points for first victory. In total 25 points miss.

I won 12 times at COLOR POP this weekend (first victory : #73674202) but didn't receive the 5 points.
Same thing for COLT EXPRESS for an old victory in 2019 (#51208295).
No problem for other games I played this weekend.

I have 2 victories for Not Alone, both were on team games, and I was playing Hunted each time.

The first victory was a result of another player timing out/leaving the game, which as someone else stated it seems as though if the first victory is a result of a timeout, then it's impossible to get gift points.

My assumption is that it's intentional that timeout/cancel victories are not counted. But that the system is coded that it just looks if the player has ANY victories including those when determining first victory gift.

If any developers are reading this then a proposed fix would be to not look at total victories but total minus cancel/timeout victories. In fact it could be as easy as checking if they have previously received the gift for the game (a boolean in the database) and give it on victory if they don't. (Not sure why team game would matter, but I suppose I can personally try winning a 1v1) Should also give all players with more than 1 proper victory who have not received it the 5 point gift. (This should be a fairly simple SQL query if the site is set up in that way)

Since I have the new trophee Prix Nobel when you are play all the game, but it is not the true I don't finish all the games. The 5 point first victory bonus hasn't appeared in two Letter Tychoon and a Chess game I've played in the last week- upon inspection of the games played / won tallies in the XP menu, the won games haven't been logged for any of the games won in the last week(ish)

i won 'via magica' two times in a row but receaved the second time the medal for first win.

re: my previous reply on Jan 25th. It seems there has been a change, now you only get gift points for winning in Normal Mode, not Training Mode. I tried Normal Mode in my last few games and got my gift points! Not sure if this was an intended change, but posting here in case it helps someone else.

I have played this game several times before but this was my first win,
and I don't think there was any reason that I wouldn't receive the point.
It was not in practice mode, and we finished the game safe without anyone quitting.
I didn't even get the achievement for my first win.

Explanation:
You can only get points if you are the sole winner of a game.
If you are playing partner-based card games, you will not get the points.
If you are playing a multi-player game and someone quits or is booted, everyone else is a winner: no points.

I was also confused by this at first.

If your first win is because someone quit or was tossed from a game, you will NEVER get the +5 for that game.

Over six years, obviously nobody who can fix this reads all this, or maybe nobody cares. It doesn't seem like it would be that difficult to fix.
