For every action, the UI was extremely laggy and the browser memory was full. For example, when a new card was shown on my turn, it took at least ten seconds for the UI to register that I was allowed to buy it.• 你想觸發這個遊戲行動時做了什麼？

It wasn't laggy on Chrome earlier in the day. Just on Safari, and it was bad. Internet was fine, just the website was the problem.

Safari 12.1 on iOS 12.5 (iPad Air 1) had extreme lag
Safari 10 on iOS 10.3 (iPad 4) wouldn't even load, stuck on opening game box. Chrome also made no difference.
Safari 14.1 on iOS 14.5 (iPhone SE) worked fine.

I'm having the same problem on Safari 14.1 on macOS 11.3. The game is unplayable in Safari because the lag is so bad. It seems to slow down the browser itself.
Switching to Brave (Chromium-based) allows me to play the game, but I would prefer to use Safari. Other BGA games seems to work fine in Safari.

I've seen/reported something similar like this. It's because of the "drop shadow effect" usage. See: boardgamearena.com/bug?id=37700

On the note of Safari issues- has anyone also seen the inability to exit from “full screen” mode? Clicking the X on an iPad Pro in Safari does not let me exit and instead I have to force quit the browser and relaunch to get out of full screen mode in Splendor. I entered full screen mode in order to see all the cards/ have a better more proportioned view on the iPad Pro as the default view had cards displayed very large and it was extra difficult to manage due to the lag.

One of the upsides of BGA has been the non complex table format which allow the games to be played on a number of browsers on devices of varying ages. Whilst I appreciate the attempt to fancy the look up, it does appear to make the game unplayable on older devices. It barely works at all on my 6 year old iPad Air but is fine on an iPhone 7 both using safari. I suspect the fancy fonts and backgrounds are slowing it down. I switched off the font and it improved a bit. Perhaps an option to switch off the background would help.

The "Reduce special effects" setting has been updated and now it disables the background and uses lower resolution assets.
Could you activate the option (using the gear icon in your player board) and tell me whether it runs better or not ?

I have for the last several games how to Eric come up or an alert some thing at the top that says update game situation and it never goes away. I end up having to abandon the game and it makes me get a bad reputation plus I don't know how to play anymore without having this happen.

On Mozilla on linux I have played splendor 3 times in three days--previously no problems, but hadn't played in last few weeks. Now I have to refresh 2x a round--it shows that it's someone else's turn or that it's loading. Not having issues with hanabi, sushi go, 7 wonders, etc., just splendor.

I will add to my comment above that it seems to be a change from when new cards in each deck come out, it still shows the other person's turn, even though it's mine, so I have to refresh frequently. If someone just takes chips, it shows my turn normally. It didn't use to happen like this and it's frustrating I'm sure for the people I play against when their total time to play is 4 min each and mine is 7 b/c I have to hit refresh and wait so often

i have been getting the same problem since a week on my iphone12 safari browser.
either it is extremely laggy or the page cannot be found and i cant re-enter the game..
on pc the game is doing just fine.
i updated my safari app and everything but it keeps occuring

The last 2 games I’ve played have been super laggy (1phone, chrome). Thought it was my internet the first time do switched to 5g, same problem. Occurred again today and now I’ve seen this report, it doesn’t look like the issue is on my side. It usually runs super quick!

I was in Splendor with another player, but it was unusual, won't let me buy tiles sometimes even though I had enough thus cause wasting longer time on my part. Sometimes I could buy but had to click the gems instead of automatically applied the gems I had. Because of all those problems, the player kicked me out causing penalty. It was really terrible, the bug caused me penalty, I think it was not fair.
