I tried many types of placements and used the undo button. I then decided to build one track between them and clicked the action button that indicated the cost would be zero. When I came back for my next turn, there was no track there.

案件沿革
In this case the "End Action (0K)" button was indicating that you that hadn't actually built a track yet.
This is because zero dollars would be spent on pushing the button.
If this is the case, then despite your belief that a track was laid, it actually (as far as the game was concerned) wasn't.
By way of your report, I assume that you saw the track laid between New York and Philadelphia?
Is this true?
When you were doing the build/undo/build:
Did you do this quickly or relatively slowly?
I ask, since it may be possible that visual debris from a previous build attempt might have made it look like your intended track was there. All track placed and then removed by way of the 'Undo' button are supposed to be destroyed before you see the main action choices.
Actions on my part:
Disable the 'End Action' button until at least one track is built to prevent accidental clicks.
Add a confirmation on the 'End Action' button when it looks like a player might be under using the total number of track builds available.
Change the 'Undo' button be read 'Cancel', which falls in line with other complex actions.
I will keep this bug open, but the only way to reproduce the effect, is to click the 'End Action' button before you really wanted to.
Implemented in V1.2 July 9
Disabled the 'End Action' button until at least one track is built to prevent accidental clicks.
Changed the 'Undo' button be read 'Cancel', which falls in line with other complex actions.
Main screen 'End Action' changed to 'Pass' with a confirmation.
