The cost of the patch (buttons & time) should remain visible when in play on the player's quilt.
I think it would make sense to have it there permanently, but if not possible for this implementation, it should at least remain visible until stitched/the end of the turn to make it easier when considering pieces to choose. • 你的瀏覽器是什麼？

Example: I took a piece to check fit on my board, and then wanted to compare it to my other 2 options by looking at the row/choices. All the information is needed for comparison, but I could not see the cost of the piece that was "temporarily" on my quilt.

Came here to suggest this very thing! It was annoying to have to cancel the "planned" placement of my selected patch in order to remind myself of the cost, and to then have to re-select and re-place the patch.
As for continuing to display the cost of the patch permanently (i.e., even after confirmation of placement and ending one's turn), this should, at the very least, be an option for players—game-relevant information should never be permanently hidden from players.
