I got quick confirmation from Andy, my interpretation is in fact wrong and it should be like implied in that FAQ entry, so to be very clear:
Player with no Creepers: Draw 1
Player with 1 Creeper: draw 1 + 1 for a total of 2
Player with 2 Creepers: Draw 1 + 3 for a total of 4
Player who draws a Creeper as 1st card: Draw again for a total of 2 + the Creeper.
I will adapt this accordingly
