The two tiles that were already in my supply were highlighted as available for placement, but the new tile was not. I can click on the tile to put a blue ring around it, but no placement location is highlighted. Clicking the tile again removes the blue ring.

I placed a castle, was given the option to buy from central/black depot, but then denied the ability to place that tile with the castle bonus. I have done this many times in the past, but this is the first time I have had knowledge tile #6 in play--even though I was buying with silver instead of workers.
F5 did not solve the problem.
tried 4 or 5 times. with an wothout F5 inbetween: fully repeatable
No screen shot. Sorry. Surely you can replay the game?!
The boat tile does get a green circle in replay. It's didn't get a green circle during actual play.

I've placed my castle and the action bar says this: "Castle advantage: you must take a tile, place a tile, sell goods, or take workers (you may buy a tile beforehand)"
Okay, so I've bought a tile from the centre depot (using silverlings, not workers), but now I cannot place this newly purchased tile with the castle's ability. This new tile does not have a green outline around it the way the other previously acquired tiles do; when I click on this new tile, it has a blue outline, and no outlines show up on my player board for this type of tile.
The animated image posted by Jan de Graaf immediately above this comment shows precisely what I'm experiencing.
However, in my case, F5 /did/ solve the issue, so I've been able to proceed with my turn. Nonetheless, this is, at the very least, a display bug, so I'm upvoting it.
This applies to both the Castle and the Town Hall.
After playing Castle or Town Hall, the hint correctly says "you may buy a tile beforehand." And, indeed, the interface does allow a tile to be purchased. But then the Castle or Town Hall bonus action does not allow the new tile to be placed--only tiles that were already owned.
Thanks to those who mentioned that reloading the game after purchasing the tile fixes the problem. I had not previously been aware of that, and it just saved me in a big tournament play.
Can't a place a tile with a castle after i bought it with the knowledge tile 6.
Either with silverlings or workers both doesn't work.
Blue circle around it doesn't appear while on other tiles it does.
One thing to note is that I didn't have an adjacent water space before placing the Town Hall, as in placing the Town Hall "extended" my reach to the water space.
