I had just been granted life power as wildcard then played it tha an earth was drawn and it seemed to act like it was also a wildcard but didn't' even place it in a valid slot.
This happened to me in a prior game as well with a different wildcard -

F5 allowed the interface tow work again but didn't wait for the move - skipped placement
This appears periodically but is rare it happened once in an Arena game and this time.
I don't think the Life Animus bonus, or any wildcard, has anything to do with this probably, maybe it's similar to the issue where crystal placement wasn't registered? With the bonus of it affecting the next move to look like it's still on the previous token.
Your bug has probably been fixed already, or was linked to a temporary failure of BGA service.
In any case, when filling a bug report, make sure to have an explicit title linked to the incident (ex: with error message), so other players can recognize it and vote for it.
