There has already been a suggestion on this. But there is no warning included even. It just needs to be a visual indicator in the UI indicating the max storage limit!
Like say presently player has 13 knowledge out of max 15 in the right panel. That should be easy enough to bring in hopefully?

- The resource cap is the same in every game for every faction. It isn't the sort of thing where you might need a reminder as to what it is in this particular game.
- The resource display already has the current value and income. Adding the cap adds clutter, and there isn't a good spot to put it, especially since it will be difficult to achieve good contrast with the background (note, for example, the ore symbol has a white background with a black border).
- This is the sort of game that people tend to play a lot. Half of BGA players who play Gaia Project have gone on to play it again, 20% will play it it at least five times, and 10% at least ten; and since the game just entered beta, I expect those numbers will rise over time. (Compare PARKS, where only one in three players will go on to play a second game, and less than 10% will play five times.) For a game like Gaia Project, it makes the most sense to optimize the UI for expert players, even at the expense of some confusion for newer players.
For these reasons, I think it makes more sense to mention the resource caps in the "How to Play" section.

2022年 5月29日 23:26 • I totally agree with the need of a reminder for that limit. I played 17 games and it is only on the last one that I get stucked by the limit of knowledge that I can store. That limit is so high that you don't really need to know it in most of the game. And moreover that limit does not seem to have a sense in the game. For what I understood it is a graphic limit in the board game so you always have it under your eyes first, and second, it seems to have been thought to be high enough to not be a real limit. I guess it is just a physical limit because you can't draw an unlimited ladder.
So, if you really can't add it, (I can understand that) should we really keep it? I know this is a change in the rules and I guess you won't accept that but I think it would be closer to the spirit of the game than to have that weird limit that is written nowhere. 😊

It is written somewhere, though. It's written in the rules.
It's also mentioned in the "How to play?" section, but even if it weren't, it's an important rule of a game that's played at a competitive level by thousands of players. Changing the rule isn't on the table.

I clearly understand, but I still believe most of the player will learn it by doing the mistake at least once. But as you said, the majority of the player will play it so many time that this mistake will not have a big impact on their satisfaction for the game.
I think it is still a problem, but I understand you won't fix it, as long as you don't find an easy way to do it.

2024年12月28日 1:05 • Hey, I'm a rather new GP player (Hallah) and just got surprised by the cap. Passed early to become first player, took the 4 power to 7 coins action and everything was lost to the cap. I don't even know if I was able to converse or not at the ent of my turn but I agree with former suggestions that people would converse in a game, where these limits are represented by a good UI.
Would it work to make the interface look like 20/30 coin symbol which would mean currently 20 of 30 coins?
