Or even a feature that allows a player to select something they are unwilling to trade and then it will auto-reject, could maybe also be automatic that anything they didn't have would also automatically reject... though I think they should still be able to view what is being requested and offered as that can help you plan.

Auto-reject should be implemented very carefully if at all.

In theory a player's hand is secret to an extent. Sure some things can be deduced by resources spent and watching what's rolled, but what the robber took is secret. By auto rejecting trades based on whether the trade could be accepted at all, it's possible to figure out what cards are in a player's hand.

- A player actively saying "please auto reject my trades" could be useful, but could also cause stigma to anyone that doesn't turn on the option.

- A timeout on a trade could be similarly useful, "if nobody responds after 6 hours just pass"

The original suggestion is sensible. Have an option for a player to set in their game options a number of seconds after which it will auto-reject an opponents trade offer on their turn if you haven't responded. I'm getting fed up of opponents making repeated, useless offers when we've rejected trades and even told them we don't have certain resources, but each time I have to respond and if I miss one of the re-trade offers it runs down my turn timer?!

An auto-reject after x seconds or whatever will stop the idiots who use the trade session to run down opponents clocks to try and can kick them. It's happened to me and other people have mentioned it to.

I echo MrBeardy's comments and frustrations. It gets to be unplayable when you get repeated requests for something that you do not have and cannot get. Why can't the system see that? I can't magically make my 4 stone into the clay they want when it is not my turn. What's the purpose of not having this auto detected?
