It happens from times to times... I don't think it's possible to screen it, I would need a video, and don't want to do it on purpose and loose points again... I'm so anxious when it happens.

I made the same report because it happened several times when I first joined and started playing arena mode. I stopped playing arena mode because as a new player it made my reputation bad when it was perfect playing simple mode.

I have found that you will not receive a sound notification if you are watching a short video in another tab. There needs to be someway to check if a player is still on and ready to play without showing them the table and opponents when in Arena. Maybe a simple, "Are you still there - click OK".

I can confirm, that both Android, and PC Windows 10 can just stop sending me notifications on one device, sometimes on another, and other time they are delayed. When I go to settings to send test notifications for these devices they appear straight away on both.

On the other hand when I am playing real time on PC, with focus on that game tab, I can get immediately notifs on my phone, for every turn :D I would deal with that, if they would come in time always, and not stop sending them on any device for no reason.
(Yes, I tried all the system settings on both devices, and internet is on, all the time)

You're not alone. I personally have never had a problem, but I have had some pop-up notifications appear after the game was already completed.

J'ai reçu plusieurs fois une mauvaise réputation car le site a été déconnecté d'internet.
SFR est sérieusement en train de bugger et coupe souvent internet.
De ce fait j'ai à chaque fois reçu une mauvaise note alors que je n'ai jamais abandonné une partie.
Pouvez-vous me rétablir mes 100% que j'avais depuis longtemps.

I've also had games just never even tell me they had started (e.g. boardgamearena.com/table?table=307585370) and i think that's an issue created in the relatively recent change to the lobby where you only see the big icon of one game instead of the list of your preferred games.

But also, often the timer sound doesn't play at all.

I have the same problem, I was expelled! but I never received the sound alert for the beginning of the game! so my reputation went down, and so my ranking in scopa game. it happened twice, the first time was table #316185750, and the stranger is reading I had played cards, while I did not start playing. the second time at table #317965281, this time I was able to play very few seconds being expelled, just for case, I turned the page and I realized the game had started. my pc has sound on and high. imgur.com/a/6b8YJgF
I specify I was not watching a video or listening something else, I was jus surfing web or reading my emails. I use a PC win10 pro up to date. connection is perfect, no loss of signal.

again! hateful! I will leave, I cannot be expelled and penalized for a bug of yours. since lot of minutes are needed to start a scopa game, I browse internet, read emails, waiting for SOUND, but sometimes the match starts and I am not warnered, but the expelling sounds arrive, having no time to avoid the end of the match and penalty: imgur.com/a/zxZ0Aqp

I had the same problem, but the notification was never shown. The page REMAINED IN THE LOBBY, with "searching for enough players to play", no game poping out or no info whatsoever. Then suddenly, still in the lobby, I only saw the in-game-chat appearing, which already reported a couple of messages and the info that the other players have expelled me from the game. I had to look for it in the history of my games, and I was so confused, because I really had no chance to notice the game has even started.

Same here. I only received *delayed plethora of sounds after reopening the tab when I was expelled. But BGA automatics still confirmed me to as background ready to start the arena table, despite not being able to transmit the sounds to the tab as background process... There is a disconnect of processes here.

I am in this trouble many times, but it hurt a lot when I am on the first ranking but got penalty without my false!

I opened "play now" page all the time and watching searching player status. Suddenly I found my arena ranking banner that my rank is lower while still see searching status on the game!

Just happened with table #655966323 for Distilled - more frustrated by the elo loss than the rank loss on first day of the season. Was looking for both turn-based and real-time and playing a turn-based when it happened. Had multiple BGA tabs open and there was a change in the tab names that made it seem like I had a new game, but refreshing the looking for real-time game time showed I was still searching, and the game did not appear in my tables list. The only evidence of the table's existence was in my profile a couple of minutes after the expulsion notification was given.

For me, the notifications do not arrive at all. I have to reset the notifications to "none" and then re-enable them in order to start seeing them again. I din not want to crete another thread with a similar problem.

Same thing happened. I was expelled from a real-time game for my time running out (by 3 seconds!). I tried to rejoin the game, but it didn't work / I was expelled. Anyway, almost 6 hrs later I get a pop up notification randomly explaining the penalty. I thought I did something to trigger it, but it seems like I didn't. I had gotten the email saying the game was over within a hour of the game ending / me being expelled.

This is still happening. It's very easy to reproduce. Click to start an arena game, particularly if you pick a game where you may have to wait several minutes (Fluxx is a good example). Browse to another tab while you are waiting. There's no tone, no alert, and you'll just come back later to a tab that says you've been expelled from a game and penalized.

If this cannot be fixed, we need at least a better way to expunge these false penalties from our record.

This happens to me all the time. Dear BGA, how can we guarantee an audible alert when we're on another tab? That's your quest. I want an alert, but I also want freedom to browse while I'm waiting.

I lost almost ONE HUNDRED XP and THIRTY RANK POSITIONS due this bug.
I can´t wait opponents staring the screen. BGA should warn us when the quorum for the game is complete. Or not let it start without everyone's consent, as in regular games.
