Not sure to understand: the size of the board can be selected among three different shapes.
If you mean the possibility for the player to define arbitrary sizes and/or shapes, while more or less anything is possible *in theory*, in practice this is currently near impossible, as the BGA framework relies on a list of predefined sizes and the CSS style sheet of the game page has to be tailored by hand for each supported size. It would also be quite heavy to maintain and clearly outside the resources of voluntary developers as we are.
Allowing arbitrary non-square shapes would increase exponentially the complexity, for instance raising a number of topological issues.
So, in the end, it would probably be «exciting», but cannot be supported. Sorry.
