I agree with the Fera bonus of prisoner release when black market resets. It does release the prisoner, but after the negative effects of the reset happen. The correct way this should work is for the person to be released before the negative effects (the -virtue and debt). There is an apprentice card that releases 2 prisoners on black market reset, and that works correctly. If somebody has the combo they should effectively be able to use all 3 black market options and completely avoid any penalty on reset.

The activation of Fera occurs, but after negative effects of BM rest when should be before.

I don't agree with choosing the people you use and like them being random.

I agree on this. I don't have that player board myself, but since the Fara ability is optional, it should not trigger BM reset immediately and should wait until you make the choice, in case you are using a dept accumulation strategy where you sometimes don't want to release than 1 worker from prison to gain a dept card.

This should be fixed.

Same thing happened to me during move #45 during BMR

Same thing happened with me. The game did not allow me to release the worker from prison with Fara until AFTER I took the debt card (for having the only worker in prison, apprentice Gatekeeper released the other two). Also, my Squire's were not activated. Kind of negates the whole power of having her.

Yep this has nobbled me too and is definitely a rules violation as confirmed by the designer on the BGG thread posted above.

This bug basically makes Fara useless as a character in the game. Please fix as it has been validated on BGG for some time.

Same bug. Had Fara and Gatekeeper with three prisoners.
The prisoners should've been released. Instead I got a debt and didn't get my squire bonus.

I'm sure you already have enough info on this now, makes Fara's ability a bit useless

Another example here, just before this turn

I had 3 workers in prison, it released 2 of them then gave me a debt card, then it used the fara ability to release the other worker but it had already given me a debt card by then

I had the same issue happen in this game, why is it taking so long to address this? As other have mentioned, it basically makes Fara worthless

I can confirm this bug happens consistently.

By the way, I think choosing player boards doesn't make sense BUT there should be a draft or auction. Some combos are plain unbalanced, and some characters are not as fun for people.
