Thanks for the report. Mind if I ask you a few questions to get my head around the issue?
Firstly, mind if I check what resolution your screen running at? Is it larger that 1920x1080?
Secondly, are you getting tooltips when you hover over the cards? A full-sized version of the cards displays when you hover over them - am I gathering that you're not experiencing this?
If you're not seeing card tooltips, could I please check if you have BGA Tooltips disabled (enabled is the default)? You can check/change your setting from the "hamburger" (3 horizontal lines) menu at the top right of the screen.
Finally, just in case it gives any further clues - I can see that you're running on Chrome, but could you please let me know what platform (eg Windows 10, Windows 11, Mac OS/X v###, iOS, Android) you're running on and what input pointing device you're using (eg mouse, touch, tablet, stylus, etc)?
Cheers,
BARONFRASER

The tooltips are working, however it would be good to have a way to enlarge the cards instead of hovering over each card. Admittedly it was the first time I'm playing, so it might not be an issue if I was already familiar with the cards.

Right now, the display is so large that I need to scroll, but I still can't read the cards (mostly the small requirements on the bonus cards that attach to the dogs). This is not so much a BGA issue as an issue with the graphic design on the cards themselves. Small and hard to read font...
Therefore, I think it's better to have a choice on BGA;
- either have the display so large that you don't need to use card tooltips, but you'll have to scroll;
- or have the display so small that you don't need to scroll, so it's faster to use tooltips
I prefer the second option on PC (Win 10 full HD), but others, especially on mobile devices, might prefer the first.

Thanks everyone for their comments.
For jda - the issue is that there is just some fairly small print on the cards in Dog Lover - that's part of the original game. The only way to make that text readable without a hover/tooltip system would be to make the cards VERY large (ie the size that you seem them when you hover), in which case you wouldn't be able to get enough of them on the screen to see any kind of layout.
SimplicatusGames, I totally agree with your logic, and it pretty much underpins the design so far. The point where we diverge is where you're saying that you're having to scroll to play: could I please get clarification on that? The current design is specifically sized so that on a standard full HD screen, scrolling isn't required for the majority of play. I gather you're not experiencing that, so could I trouble you for a screenshot or further details?
By way of comparison, I've taken a screenshot of a game, and have posted it to imgur.com/a/mJFnEl5.
As you can see, I see pretty much everything I need without scrolling. The cards are sized to the point that the grid and tricks are just the right height for the window, and there's good room to the right for my table and hand . Once I get to 2 rows of dogs, or a REALLY high stack of tucked cards, I sometimes need to do a bit of scrolling but it's fairly minimal.
As such, the design is intended to be in line with your second option ("have the display so small that you don't need to scroll, so it's faster to use tooltips"). Could I please get you to walk me through how your experience differs?
Just to be clear: resizing cards is easy, but scaling the LAYOUT to make best use of different card scales would be a bit more fiddly. So I'm keen to get an understanding of the nature of the problem as changing that would be non-trivial (which isn't to say I wouldn't do it, but I just need to understand that it's worth doing)
Cheers,
