DogEgg258Welcome to *Cake Master*, a 1-6 players draft-and-place game.
A game contains *3 rounds*.
In each round, the players *draft 3 cards* a total of *4 times* to *build 3 cakes* simultaneously.
Then, the player with *the tastiest cakes* scores the most stars. Each player also scores 1 star from each *satisfied customer*.
After 3 rounds, the player with the *highest score wins* the game. 1topbar_content000
DogEgg258At the start of round 1/2/3, 1/2/3 [blue]*customer(s)*[/blue] is(are) drawn.
The symbol on a customer card tells you what they want on their cake.
This customer wants a cake with exactly [red]*5 raspberries*[/red].
Now, let's start our turn. 2cm-customer-card-id-7000
DogEgg258We have received [red]*3 cake cards*[/red].
What we have to do is: choose 1 cake card to pass to the left player and choose another 1 cake card to pass to the right player. And we will keep the last cake card.
All players do this simultaneously and so we will finally have 3 cake cards to place (one kept from our choice, one from the left, and one from the right).
Let's now pass *[red]the pink one[/red] to the left* (click the "<" button on the card).
Then, pass the one white *[red]without raspberry[/red]* to the right (click the ">" button on the card).
When it is confirmed, click the button [blue]"*Share Cake Cards*"[/blue] on the top. 3topbar_content010cm-cake-card-id-317 9 cm-cake-card-id-220 14 cm-cake-card-hand-container 6
DogEgg258Our cards have just passed to other players. And we received the cards they passed to us.
At this moment, we must place these cards.
We are going to build 3 cakes. The cake cards can be placed on any of the 3 cakes.
Let's start by placing the one with the raspberry to the top left part of the leftmost cake area.

DogEgg258Great, now let's place one on the right of the last card.
We will always want a rosette to be completed. And a card can complete it right now. Could you find it?
1topbar_content67d2d2c26a48800
DogEgg258Do you find it correctly? It's the one we are pointing at!
Let's place it to the right of the existing one. 2topbar_content67d2d2c26a48810cm-cake-card-id-313 18
DogEgg258And finally, place the last card to the bottom of the last card. We can complete the rosette later on. 1topbar_content67d2d2c6c28ee10cm-cake-card-id-302 19
DogEgg258In a real game, you can undo and reset any time to find the best placing way. But in the tutorial, we can only confirm and move on. 1topbar_content67d2d2ce9046700
DogEgg258And now, a new turn starts.
There is a white cake card that can complete our white cake. Let's pass the other 2 cards. But which for who?
We can see others' cakes by scrolling down or having an overview in their panel. A tricky way is to pass them the one *they don't need*.
Let's pass the white one to the left, and the dark one to the right. 1topbar_content67d2eaf90b0b610cm-cake-card-id-310 14 cm-cake-card-id-122 9
DogEgg258Let's first complete the white cake. 1topbar_content67d2ebd70ecf210
DogEgg258Before we go on, let's see how *Tasty Points* are calculated.
Click the button "*Player Aid*" or scroll down to find it.
The left card shows how *Tasty Points* score from cake:
- For the *icing color* (white/pink/dark) on a cake, 1/2/3 colors score 3/1/0 tasty points.
- 1 tasty point for *each rosette* on the cake.
- If there is *no half-rosette* on the cake, gain 1 additional tasty point.
- Finally, each *pair of [red]raspberry[/red] and [blue]blue berry[/blue]* score 1 tasty point.
The right card shows how *star*(VP) score from *Tasty Point*:
In each round, the player(s) with *the most tasty point* scores 2 stars.
The player(s) with *the least tasty point* score no stars.
The other player(s) score 1 star. 1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment67d30ccd797f600
DogEgg258You can see the real-time score for each cake in each player's panel.
Taking the just completed white cake as an example, there is one icing color (white), 2 rosettes, no half-rosette, and [1+4] berries.
One icing color gives us 3 points. 2 rosettes without a half give us 2+1 points. There are only one pair of berries so we have another 1 point. So there are a total of 7 points for the white cake. 2cm-cake-card-id-31467d30ccd797f600
DogEgg258We must now place the three cards.
Oh no, there is a white icing card in our hand but we must place it.
The cake with two icing colors can only gain 1 tasty point. But don't worry, it's fine. Just try not to put 3 icing colors on a cake (in that case, we cannot gain any scores from icing color). 1topbar_content67d347db3faed00
DogEgg258It's the last turn in this round. After placing the 3 cards, all cakes are completed and we will start scoring.
Let's see if we can fulfill the customer's demand. 1cm-customer-card-id-767d45f79ee0dc00
DogEgg258If we want to fulfill the customer's demand, we should place the pink card in the middle. Fulfilling a customer's demand can let us directly score 1 point. But we cannot get a high score from *Tasty Point*.
It is a hard choice. In the current case, let's bet the highest *Tasty point* instead.
[tip] Place the dark icing on the middle cake. 1topbar_content67d499d877d9610cm-cake-card-id-107 16
DogEgg258[img]https://snipboard.io/lEx0Pp.jpg[/img]
We get 19 tasty points at the end. And so we scored 2 stars. 19 is a high score in a usual game. [green]*Daselva*[/green] got 16 tasty points and scored 1 point.
*Freezius* does not score from the tasty point, but they score 1 by fulfilling the customer's demand. 1topbar_content67d4b159d2f3e00
DogEgg258Look, in round 2 there are two customers with their demand.
Each customer will buy at most *one* cake from each player.
[green][tip][/green] Which means that [green]*more than one player* can score from the same customer. [/green]
[blue][tip][/blue] Meanwhile, [blue]to fulfill two customers demand you must *use 2 cakes* to do so. [/blue]2cm-area-deck-container67d4b159d2f3e00
DogEgg258Now let's see the other demand from other customer cards.
Here are some typical examples.
[img]https://snipboard.io/ju5GOE.jpg[/img]
For the leftmost one, the customer wants a cake with *exactly one icing color* and *exactly 5 berries([blue]blue[/blue]/[red]red[/red])*.
For the 2nd, the customer wants a cake with exactly one rosette with no half-rosette.
For the 3rd and 4th, the customers want a cake without one kind of berry.
For the 5th, the customer wants a cake with *exactly two rosettes* and *exactly [blue]2 blueberries[/blue]*. As there is no mention, the number of half-rosettes and [red]raspberries[/red] is not important. 3cm-area-deck-container67d4b159d2f3e00
DogEgg258With the *2-player variant*, the game plays the same except for the draft: Each player draws 3 cake cards and chooses one to keep. Pass the others to the opponent simultaneously. Then, each player chooses one to keep and passes the last one to the opponent simultaneously.
In this way, Each player receives 3 cake cards finally. They then proceed to place those cards on the cakes like normally. 4topbar_content67d4b159d2f3e00
DogEgg258In solo mode, *tasty points* are not in use.
At the start of the game, 3 customer cards are drawn. Each turn, you draw 4 and discard 1. You can also replace any number of hand with a new card (you can do this 3 times in a game).
At the end of the round, Tasty points are not calculated, only customers' demands are checked.
Discard customers that are scored. Draw new until there are 3.5topbar_content67d4b159d2f3e00
DogEgg258That's all for the tutorial.
In each turn, players draft cards simultaneously. After the 4th turn of the round, scoring happens. Each player calculates their *tasty points* from the 3 cakes according to the chart:
1/2/3 icing color: 3/1/0 Tasty Points
Each complete rosette: 1 Tasty Point
No half-rosette: 1 Tasty Point
Each pair of different berries: 1 Tasty Point
The player(s) with the *most* tasty points gets 2 stars.
The player(s) with the *least* tasty points gets 0 stars.
The rest gets 1 star.
Each player checks *individually*: *Each customer* that has a cake that meets their demands gives you 1 star.
!!! *Each cake can be used for only ONE customer. *
After 3 rounds, the player with the most stars wins. 6topbar_content67d4b159d2f3e00
